Casa Roble
Casa Roble was a dramatic transformation of a dated 1980s contemporary home into a Spanish Colonial residence. While the original home had a looming, almost overbearing presence, the new design far better compliments its Riviera hillside setting. The living spaces that used to overheat on sunny days are now comfortable, inviting spaces. The harsh, sun-baked terrace has been replaced with a covered outdoor living porch from which to enjoy the sweeping views or a casual gathering around the fireplace. All of this was accomplished through a careful process of architectural surgery that only added 64 sf to the existing house.
